Tokyo 2026

TOKYO FINE ART
ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
NOV. 2-6, 2026

No city on earth offers this contrast

Tokyo in November is a photographer's dream: crisp autumn air, peak koyo foliage blazing against glass towers, soft golden light that arrives early and stays late. The city's refined minimalism and bold contemporary architecture become even more striking against a backdrop of red and gold.

This isn't a tour. Sharon has curated five days of specific locations, specific times of day, and specific techniques — all designed to produce the kind of award-winning fine art architectural images that define her career. You leave with a body of work, not just snapshots.

And with only 10 participants, you get real attention. Every image you make will be seen, critiqued, and elevated.

What You'll Learn to Create:

  • Blurred Cityscapes

  • Abstract B&W

  • Long Exposure

  • Image Stacking

  • Multiple Exposure

  • Slow Shutter Crowds

  • Japanese Floral Abstracts

  • Skyline at Dusk

Above all, the workshop emphasizes developing your Vision
The ability to approach any scene and create a fine art image that is unmistakably yours.

How It Works:

The Three-Part Structure

The workshop doesn't begin and end in Tokyo. You arrive prepared, shoot with purpose, and leave with finished work.

Before You Fly

Pre-Course Zoom Training — 6 Hours

Two 3-hour Zoom sessions with Sharon, held before you travel. You'll learn her signature Blurred Cityscapes technique, abstract and expressive approaches, long exposure, image stacking, and advanced black & white post-processing. All sessions are recorded and yours to keep.

Session 1: Thu Oct 15 · 10:00 am–1:00 pm PST

Session 2: Thu Oct 22 · 10:00 am–1:00 pm PST

On the Ground

Five Days in Tokyo — Nov 2–6, 2026

You meet the group on the evening of November 1st at the Hotel Gracery Ginza for a relaxed meet-and-greet. Each day, Sharon leads the group to pre-scouted locations at the optimal time of day for light. She knows exactly where to stand, when to shoot, and how to turn what you see into art. A 3-hour on-location classroom session mid-week keeps everyone on track and growing.

After You Return

Post-Course Zoom Review — 6 Hours

You submit 6 of your finest images from Tokyo for Sharon's critique across two more 3-hour Zoom sessions. This is where raw captures become finished fine art. Most participants consider this the most transformative part of the whole experience.

Session 3: Thu Nov 26 · 10:00 am–1:00 pm PST

Session 4: Thu Dec 3 · 10:00 am–1:00 pm PST
